How Does the Lam Probe Work?

The Lam Probe works on the principles of liquids being attracted to heat which is released by various probes. Treatments are very quick (some even with a few seconds) and may not even touch the skin's surface. Small skin tags or blood spots disappear immediately and hyper-pigmented areas such as liver or "age spots" take only a few seconds.

What About Discomfort and Recovery?

There is very little discomfort for the client and healing time is short, from a day or two for skin tags, to a week or two for larger skin abnormalities like pigmented epidermal growths (fibromas).

What Conditions Can the Lam Probe Treat?

• Skin Tags
• Blackheads and Whiteheads
• Blood Spots
• Broken Capillaries
• Age Spots
• Fibromas

How the Lam Probe Treats Each Condition

Skin Tags
They appear as tiny pearl drops attached to the skin's surface and proliferate (multiply) in ageing skins, particularly on the skin. They can be removed by simply sealing off the blood very efficiently and quickly.

Blackheads and Whiteheads
In most cases, blackheads are usually caused by oils in the pores which become oxidized and turn black. Whiteheads are simply plugs of dead cells that have grown over a pore opening. If there are oils suppressed underneath the dead cells, they are attracted to the Lam Probe which dries them instantly. They are caused by poor skin exfoliation that are found in both oily and dry skins. When they are found around the eyes, they can be caused by eyeglasses that sit on the skins surface and encourage the accumulation of dead skin cells. Cleaning the eyeglasses and micro-dermabrasion, or using regular deep-cleansing face masks to enhance skin exfoliation can help prevent these conditions from reoccurring.

Blood Spots
Blood spots can be small to large concentrations of blood which can be flat or raised and they are commonly found in the neck or décolleté area. They are believed to be a disorder of the circulatory system and although young adults may have them, they do not place priorities on their removal until older.

Broken Capillaries
Tiny congealed blood vessels are commonly found on the nose, cheeks and chin, particularly in thin, sensitive skins. Those who suffer from allergies and practice poor lifestyle regimes of alcohol, smoking, and eating excessively spicy foods are more likely to develop broken capillaries (Telangiectasis). They can be hereditary and if found in the legs, they can be caused by habitually crossing the legs or wearing very tight stockings or jeans which impairs circulation. Broken capillaries are very simple to remove and many of them can be treated in one or more sessions.

Hyperpigmentation
Hyper refers to excess and pigment refers to colour. So hyperpigmentaiton refers to an excess of colour in relation to your normal skin tone. These include light brown to darker brown to black colour. Pigment abnormalities become accelerated with age due to a breakdown of melanin production. The most common hyperpigmentaiton disorders for which people seek treatment are: "liver spots," more commonly called age spots, or "melasma," a dark pigment formed during pregnancy or use of contraceptive pills. The Lam Probe is effective with both disorders.

Fibromas
Fibromas are non-malignant tumors composed of fibrous tissue that can be flat or raised. Skin tags are considered small fibromas, and the texture and colour of large fibromas are different for normal skins because they are darker in colour and more fibrous in texture. Like their smaller counterparts skin tags, they can be removed easily by the Lam Probe.
